BIMI & Common Mark Certificate Service Terms
Last updated: January 2026
These terms apply specifically to BIMI and Common Mark Certificate (CMC) services provided via JamesWarrack.com. They should be read alongside the main Terms of Service.
What this service covers
I’ll guide and support you through the process required to:
-
Prepare your domain for BIMI
-
Ensure SPF, DKIM and DMARC are correctly configured
-
Collect and submit information required for a Common Mark Certificate
-
Liaise with the certificate authority where appropriate
-
Flag issues that may prevent validation or renewal
The Common Mark Certificate itself is issued and governed by a third-party certificate authority. I do not issue certificates and do not control validation rules.
What you’ll need to provide
You may be asked to supply:
-
Your logo (which I’ll format to meet BIMI requirements)
-
Evidence of logo usage
-
Correctly configured authentication records
-
Proof of brand ownership or trademark registration
I’ll review submissions wherever possible, but final acceptance always sits with the certificate authority.
Third-party dependencies
This service relies on external providers including:
-
Certificate authorities
-
DNS providers
-
Email platforms
I can’t control changes made by these providers or by your own internal teams.
Validation, suspension and revocation
Certificates may be suspended or revoked if:
-
Validation requirements are no longer met
-
Branding or domains change
-
DNS or authentication records are altered
-
Industry or certificate authority rules change
If issues arise, I’ll help you resolve them where possible. In some cases, re-issuance or additional costs may apply.
Fees, billing and renewal
-
Pricing is confirmed at the point of sale
-
The service is typically billed annually in advance
-
Renewal invoices are issued before expiry to avoid disruption
Once a certificate has been issued, refunds are not possible due to external costs.
What I can’t guarantee
I can’t guarantee:
-
Certificate approval on the first attempt
-
Continued display of BIMI logos in every inbox
-
That third-party rules won’t change
What I can guarantee is clear guidance and transparent communication.
